Lotus Europa John Player Special

Lotus Europa was built from 1966-75 and was developed as a street version of the racemodel 47 which was Colin Chapman's bid for a Le Mans racer. The John Player Special models were introduced in 1972 to honor Lotus winning Formula 1 that year with the John Player Special cigarette brand as a sponsor.

This JPS Europe comes from a larger American collection and is also equipped with the best of two 5-speed gearboxes - close / ratio and an overdrive as the fifth gear. The wheels are the rare Panasport. The cabin is furnished with dashboard in dark walnut, and with seats in black leather. All instruments are original and functional. Mileage is 29,000 miles. The fiberglass body appears original and undamaged. Doors and flaps fit extremely well.
